Face/Cara – an exhibition addressing the social and emotional representations made by the human face. The face is a source of communication and can be read in many ways …. search the images on the site for layers of information, each one tells a story.
FACE THE FACELESS – SLAPHEAD ....EXHIBITION DETAIL
Generally speaking, we are all born bald, a clean page on which your own story can be written. Initially everyone has anonymity until you choose otherwise. I find it is an interesting process to turn day-life situations into images and study these thoughts from a bird’s eye view. A bird can see things that others cannot. Slaphead takes the viewer through a journey of simple activity from walking the dog to studying fish and drinking wine. For those people that know me personally, you may see that part of myself is reflected in the work. The question you need to ask is whether a bald man can be anonymous or the very fact that he is bald is the one thing that makes him stand out.
Non identity, unnamed, whose name is not known or not given, indistinctive, lacking individuality or distinctiveness term for a bald person, especially a man who has gone bald naturally rather than a man who has shaved his head by fashion choice.
Grande
Acrylic landscapes of the movement, light, sound scape and scale of Spain. Grande was opened in Sotogrande near Malaga in November of 2006 and is now exhibited at The Brewhouse in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.
