“In some ways my thinking process revolves around the idea that nature and the material world are far stranger when viewed in isolation or highlighted in an unusual way than anything that can be dreamed up by the imagination. Behind this are the underlying themes evident in most of my work, time, change, flux – essentially the mystery of existence.”
Education
October 1997 – Jun 1998 PG Diploma, Cyprus College of Art:
The course was a nine-month self-motivated study period. Students were encouraged to observe aspects of Cypriot Culture and integrate these into their work. Cyprus itself has a long history of Cultural, cross – fertilisation, this has helped deepen my own interest both in ancient cultures and also travel.
October 1986 – June 1989 BA (Hon) Fine Art, University of Central Lancashire:
The course was titled” Art in society”. It sought to raise questions concerning Fine Art practice in the age of Mass Media and to create alternative approaches.
October 1984 – June 1986 Foundation Course in Art: University of Central Lancashire.
