Badham, Glenn
I am the co-founder of Doors Opening along with Keir Whitaker the Web Developer without whose prowess you would not be seeing any of this now. I am a painter fascinated by light, movement and the figure in its immediate environment. I started Doors Opening to be a genuinely useful and active showcase for its members and go beyond the plethera of arts directories in the ether. Clark, Vicki
My paintings are an emotive response to the landscape where the place, subject matter and moment in time is the starting point.
This is presented through the physical and gestural application of the paint. Through this language of marks the onlooker is invited to step into and become encompassed by the landscape as experienced by the artist.
The work hopes to honestly reflect the presence of the subject matter and bring to light those things that are vital, transient and fragile.
dartnell, nic
Nic’s artwork (Silent Songs) draws on influences from a variety of cultures. He readily admits to finding it as easy to identify with poets and musicians as with visual artists. During the 1990s he produced a series of paintings for a book about Jimi Hendrix and created an exhibition of portraits of children, from the urban community, where he was living : Children of the Future.
Evans, Scott
I have just graduated at De montfort University. I have been interested in dealing with the figure and I have looked at pushing the body to its limits to create movement. I love sport and the activity it creates and like it to be integral in my work. I have passion for music and admire the legends in the history of rock making them heroic and symbolic figures.

Heath, Bob
“In some ways my thinking process revolves around the idea that nature and the material world are far stranger when viewed in isolation or highlighted in an unusual way than anything that can be dreamed up by the imagination. Behind this are the underlying themes evident in most of my work, time, change, flux – essentially the mystery of existence.”
Hooker, Marilyn
I am a Leicestershire based fine artist having graduated in Fine Art from DeMontfort University in 2007. Some of my work is concerned with layering mixed media and producing an emotional response to natural rhythms but more recent work has been involved with the ambiguities created when lights are projected onto my relief paintings to create amazing shadows.

I’m a Nottinghamshire based artist who predominantly works within the medium of paint. I’ve just recently graduated from a Fine Art degree at De Montfort University in Leicester.
My work deals with space and atmosphere. I create illusionary three dimensional spaces within the confines of a two dimensional canvas. The paintings offer contrasts, in terms of what the viewer sees and feels. The work plays on the viewer and creates a struggle as to what they consider to be actual space. The . . .
Williamson, Greg
Large, cut out portrait paintings. I am currently in my final year at The University Of Northampton
My work studies the often grotesque facial expressions performed in between consious actions.
Wilson, Stewart
Stewart Wilson is a UK Midlands based artist specialising in dramatic urban forms influenced by unusual or extreme lighting.
I work heavily in oils and my work often approaches impasto style, depth and intensity. I favour palette knives and fingers to gain the required texture and depth. In a world saturated with prints I often smile to myself whilst working, catching a glimpse of finger marks in the thick luscious paint.
